I look at portraits of children and it looks so easy. The cute smile, the mischievous look in the eye. It feels like it is just a snap away. The reality is far from it, and only by trying it yourself can you appreciate the effort that goes into a very good children portrait. Mostly it is making them sit still in the position where the light was metered. I must learn, I must have patience and a sense of humour goes a long way!
